Bellingham The Bernard Series Old Vine Chenin Blanc is a flagship South African white wine that showcases the exceptional quality of the country's heritage old-vine Chenin Blanc. Produced by Bellingham Wines in the Coastal Region of the Western Cape, this premium wine honors the legacy of Bernard Podlashuk, the winery's pioneering co-founder. Crafted from 100% Chenin Blanc, the grapes are sourced from carefully selected bush vines aged 35 to over 45 years, yielding fruit with remarkable concentration, balance, and complexity.

The wine is fermented and matured partly in French oak barrels with extended lees contact, creating a harmonious balance between vibrant fruit, creamy texture, and refined oak influence. Elegant yet powerful, it exemplifies the modern style of premium South African Chenin Blanc while retaining the freshness and minerality for which the variety is renowned.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Bright golden straw with subtle green reflections.

NOSE:
Complex aromas of ripe pear, white peach, apricot, pineapple, green apple, and quince are layered with notes of honey, toasted almonds, oatmeal, flint, vanilla, and delicate oak spice.

TASTE:
