Cruse Wine Co. Evangelho Carignan is a highly sought-after old-vine Carignan from the historic Evangelho Vineyard in Contra Costa County, California. Crafted by acclaimed winemaker Michael Cruse, the wine comes from one of California’s most legendary heritage vineyards, planted largely in the 1890s on own-rooted vines growing in deep sandy soils near the San Francisco Bay. These rare vineyard conditions protect the vines from phylloxera and contribute to the wine’s distinctive freshness, aromatic lift, and mineral character.

Produced with a minimalist philosophy emphasizing site transparency, whole-cluster influence, and restrained winemaking, Evangelho Carignan showcases a vibrant and elegant side of California old-vine fruit while preserving the character of this historic vineyard.
