Domaine de la Grange des Pères Rouge is one of the most iconic and sought-after cult wines of southern France. Produced by the legendary Laurent Vaillé and now continued by his family, the estate is located near Aniane in the rugged hills of the Languedoc.

Founded in the early 1990s, Domaine de la Grange des Pères revolutionized perceptions of Languedoc wine by demonstrating that the region could produce wines of world-class complexity, finesse, and longevity. The Rouge is crafted from a blend of Mediterranean and Bordeaux varieties grown on limestone scree and rocky terraces, yielding a wine that combines southern richness with remarkable freshness and elegance.

Produced in very limited quantities, Grange des Pères Rouge has achieved cult status among collectors and is often considered one of the greatest wines of the Languedoc.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Deep ruby-purple with garnet highlights as it matures.

NOSE:
Blackberry, black cherry, cassis, wild herbs (garrigue), violets, olive tapenade, cedar, tobacco, graphite, and spice.

TASTE:
Full-bodied yet remarkably refined, offering layers of dark berries, plum, licorice, Mediterranean herbs, cocoa, and mineral notes framed by silky tannins and vibrant acidity.

FINISH:
Exceptionally long, complex, and evolving with notes of spice, earth, herbs, and dark fruit.
