Gaja – Alteni di Brassica Bianco Langhe is a refined, expressive white wine from the legendary Piedmontese producer GAJA. Sourced from selected vineyard parcels in the Langhe hills, this wine is crafted primarily from Sauvignon Blanc, showcasing a distinctly Italian interpretation of the varietal—combining aromatic intensity with structure, finesse, and mineral depth.

First introduced in the late 1980s, Alteni di Brassica was GAJA’s pioneering white wine project, designed to demonstrate that Langhe terroir could produce world-class Sauvignon Blanc alongside its famed reds. The result is a wine that balances international elegance with unmistakable Piedmontese character.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Bright straw yellow with greenish highlights, clear and vibrant.

NOSE:
Highly aromatic and layered, with notes of lime, grapefruit, gooseberry, passion fruit, and white peach. Floral hints of elderflower and acacia are supported by subtle herbal tones such as sage and boxwood, alongside a distinctive flinty minerality.

TASTE:
Precise, fresh, and structured. The wine opens with citrus-driven brightness followed by ripe stone fruit and tropical accents. A fine mineral backbone and vibrant acidity give tension and lift, while partial oak aging adds subtle creaminess and depth.

FINISH:
Long, clean, and persistent with lingering citrus zest, herbal nuance, and stony minerality.
