Jean-François Ganevat Rota Gamète is a vibrant, cult-status natural red wine produced by the Jura icon Jean-François “Fanfan” Ganevat under the Anne & Jean-François Ganevat négociant label. This Vin de France cuvée is typically based on Gamay blended with old Jura grape varieties, reflecting Ganevat’s creative, boundary-pushing approach to winemaking outside strict appellation rules.

Made from organically and biodynamically farmed fruit and crafted with minimal intervention, Rota Gamète is fermented with native yeasts, usually carbonic maceration–driven, and aged in large neutral oak. It is bottled unfined, unfiltered, and often with little to no added sulfur, resulting in a pure, energetic expression of fruit and terroir.

Bright ruby to light crimson with a translucent, youthful glow

NOSE:
Explosive and perfumed, showing wild strawberry, cherry, raspberry, and redcurrant, layered with violet, rose petal, and subtle herbal spice. A faint earthy, forest-floor edge adds Jura complexity

Light- to medium-bodied, juicy, and highly drinkable. The wine bursts with fresh red berries and crunchy cherry fruit, supported by silky, ultra-fine tannins and vibrant acidity. Despite its light frame, it has depth and energy, with a savory, mineral-tinged undertone
