Description

Jean-Pierre Grossot Chablis is a classic French white wine from Chablis in northern Burgundy, produced by the family-run Domaine Grossot in the village of Fleys. The estate farms around 18 hectares organically and is known for producing Chablis with pronounced freshness, precision, and mineral character.

Made from 100% Chardonnay, the wine comes largely from vineyards around Fleys, Chichée, and Fontenay on Kimmeridgian marl and limestone soils. The combination of cool Burgundy conditions and fossil-rich soils gives the wine its characteristic citrus, saline, and stony profile. The grapes are manually harvested, fermented in stainless-steel tanks, and aged for approximately 14–18 months on fine lees.

NOSE:
Fresh and precise, showing aromas of lemon, grapefruit, green apple, white flowers, and citrus zest, with subtle hints of fresh herbs and wet stone.

TASTE:
Crisp, taut, and beautifully focused. Flavors of lemon, green apple, grapefruit, and white fruit are supported by lively acidity and pronounced chalky, saline minerality. The texture is fine and elegant, with a subtle savory character emerging toward the middle palate.

FINISH:
Long, clean, and refreshing, with lingering citrus, mineral, and lightly saline notes.
