Jean Vesselle Pur B3 (Blanc de Blancs de Bouzy) Grand Cru Brut Nature is a rare and distinctive grower Champagne crafted from 100% Chardonnay grown in the Grand Cru village of Bouzy, a terroir traditionally celebrated for Pinot Noir rather than Chardonnay. Produced by the family-owned Champagne Jean Vesselle, this limited-production cuvée demonstrates how Chardonnay can express a unique personality when cultivated on the chalky slopes of the Montagne de Reims. The wine undergoes a minimum of four years of maturation on lees and is bottled with virtually no dosage, highlighting purity, minerality, and terroir expression.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Brilliant pale gold with fine, persistent bubbles and an elegant mousse.

NOSE:
Complex and refined, offering aromas of citrus zest, mandarin, lemon, apricot, ripe apple, white flowers, brioche, toasted bread, almond, and hazelnut. Extended lees aging contributes additional layers of pastry and subtle nutty complexity.

TASTE:
Fresh, energetic, and mineral-driven. Bright citrus and orchard fruit flavors are complemented by chalky minerality, vibrant acidity, and a delicate creamy texture. The absence of dosage allows the purity of the Chardonnay and Bouzy terroir to take center stage.

FINISH:
Long, focused, and elegant, with lingering notes of citrus, toasted brioche, almond, and saline minerality.
