Sourced exclusively from the La Cocluette parcel in the Grand Cru village of Oiry in the Côte des Blancs, this exceptional cuvée is made from 100% Chardonnay and produced only in outstanding vintages.

The vineyard's chalk-rich soils and old vines yield a Champagne of remarkable precision, saline minerality, and depth. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged extensively on its lees before disgorgement, La Cocluette embodies Suenen's philosophy of minimal intervention and pure terroir expression. Bottled as Extra Brut with very low dosage, this is a highly sought-after grower Champagne that combines energy, finesse, and impressive aging potential.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Brilliant pale gold with silver reflections and an exceptionally fine, persistent mousse.

NOSE:
Elegant and complex aromas of lemon zest, green apple, pear, white peach, white flowers, acacia, fresh brioche, toasted almond, and crushed chalk. With aeration, subtle notes of butter pastry, oyster shell, and flint emerge.

TASTE:
Focused and beautifully textured, offering flavors of citrus fruits, crisp orchard fruits, lemon curd, and delicate stone fruits layered over pronounced chalky minerality. The palate is both creamy and taut, supported by vibrant acidity and a finely integrated mousse.

FINISH:
Long, saline, and intensely mineral, with lingering notes of citrus peel, white flowers, and wet stone that persist for minutes.
