The Mascot Cabernet Sauvignon is a richly styled Napa Valley red wine from the team behind some of California’s most iconic estates: Harlan Estate, Bond, and Promontory. Created as an “estate-in-waiting” project, The Mascot is made from the younger vines of these prestigious vineyards, offering a more approachable expression of top-tier Napa Cabernet while still reflecting the depth, structure, and polish of its legendary lineage.

Sourced primarily from Oakville, Rutherford, and surrounding Napa Valley benchland vineyards, the wine is crafted with the same meticulous attention as its flagship counterparts. It is aged in French oak barrels, combining power and refinement in a modern Napa Cabernet style.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Deep garnet with opaque ruby core.

NOSE:
Intense and layered aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, cassis, dark cherry, plum, violet, cedar, graphite, espresso, dark chocolate, and baking spices.

TASTE:
Full-bodied and concentrated, with bold flavors of ripe black fruits, cassis, blueberry, and black cherry. The mid-palate shows plush texture and polished tannins, supported by notes of mocha, vanilla, tobacco leaf, and crushed rock minerality. Despite its richness, the wine maintains freshness and structure.

FINISH:
Long, powerful, and refined, with lingering notes of dark fruit, cocoa, spice, and elegant oak.
