Vilmart & Cie Blanc de Blancs 1er Cru Extra Brut, also known as Les Blanches Voies, is one of the most sought-after grower Champagnes from the historic house of Champagne Vilmart & Cie. Produced exclusively from a single parcel of old-vine Chardonnay in Rilly-la-Montagne Premier Cru, this exceptional Champagne is crafted from 100% Chardonnay and represents the pinnacle of Vilmart's Blanc de Blancs production.
The wine comes from the Les Blanches Voies vineyard, planted with approximately 60-year-old vines on chalk and limestone soils. In keeping with the house style, the wine is fermented and aged in oak barrels without undergoing malolactic fermentation, preserving remarkable freshness, tension, and complexity. It then spends an extended period on its lees—typically around seven years—before release, resulting in a Champagne of extraordinary depth and finesse.
Produced in limited quantities and only in select vintages, Les Blanches Voies is considered one of the finest terroir-driven Blanc de Blancs Champagnes from the Montagne de Reims.
