Zenato Cresasso Corvina Veronese IGT is a distinguished Italian red wine from Veneto, crafted exclusively from 100% Corvina Veronese, the iconic grape of Valpolicella. First produced in 1997, Cresasso was created by Zenato as a tribute to the unique terroir of the high-altitude, stony Costalunga vineyards, where rocky soils and exceptional sun exposure produce grapes of remarkable concentration and character.

Unlike traditional Amarone, Cresasso utilizes a partial appassimento method, where a portion of the grapes is naturally dried to enhance richness and complexity while maintaining freshness and varietal purity. The wine is aged in French oak barrels before additional bottle maturation, resulting in a powerful yet elegant expression of Corvina that bridges the gap between Valpolicella and Amarone.

Rich, velvety, and beautifully structured, Cresasso has become one of Veneto's most acclaimed single-varietal wines and a benchmark expression of premium Corvina.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Deep, intense ruby red with garnet reflections and thick, persistent legs in the glass.

NOSE:
An enveloping bouquet of red fruits, blueberry, blackberry, black cherry, and cooked plum, layered with notes of jam, tobacco, sweet spices, cocoa, and hints of balsamic herbs.

TASTE:
Full-bodied and elegant, with flavors of black cherry, plum preserves, blackberry, and dark berries complemented by nuances of chocolate, licorice, and mineral notes. The wine is soft and velvety with polished tannins and remarkable balance.
